Original Reclaimed
Hand Hewn Barn Beams

Reclaimed hand hewn barn beams are being used in many custom homes to add a unique warmth and sense of history that only old reclaimed wood can bring.

This home also features our Antique Barn-board Oak flooring.

This beautiful home in Maryland is a great example of what can be achieved by adding hand hewn barn beams.

These beams shown here are in our log cabin office and are about 6 inches square.

Most of our original hand hewn barn beams are available in a mixed Oak and occasionally in other hardwoods or sometimes pine.

Some of the more common sizes in our original hand hewn beams are:   6x6, 6x8, 8x8, 8x10 and 10x10

Beam lengths range from 4 feet all the way up to some beams that are 30 or 40 feet long.

Old wood but newly hand hewn

Pictured at left is a reclaimed Oak beam that has been newly hand hewn

We take old planks and beams that were not originally hand hewn, saw them to size and then add the hand hewn character.

By first sawing to size and then hand hewing, we have more control over the exact size that the beams and planks are available in.

Here is a close up picture that shows the very uneven and natural surface of our newly hand hewn beams.

Prices for all our hand hewn beams and planks are determined by size and order volume.
